Love

About three weeks ago me and my brother flew over to Italy to watch our eldest cousin get married. It was a very special trip for us, one because me and my brother flew for the first time by our self's and two, because I got to film the wedding. I was so honored by the fact I got to capture this special moment for them and I loved filming everyone's happy faces and all the celebrations.
When I was filming all the speeches, listened to the story about how they met and watched them in the first dance, it really made me see that you can find a person out there that will love you! (Just a heads up...this could get really cheesy hahaa)

I have to admit relationships scare me, but they scare everyone a little bit right? Most people's relationships around me have not worked out, which scares me! I don't want to be hurt and disappointed, no one wants that to happen to them or the people around them. Being in Italy and watching my cousins wedding has really restored my faith in relationships. Seeing how happy they are together really makes me excited to find a person that I could be happy with, I don't think I'm as scared anymore!

Now I'm not going to go around like a crazy lady in a lake fishing for men like no business....no! I'm a big believer in letting things like that work out for them self's, ill find someone when I find someone!

I guess what I'm trying to say in this blog is that if you are like me and tends to get really scared about relationships, then just take a minute and take a look at those old couples walking in the street holding hands, those people who are getting married and those couples in the shop laughing. When you see them, feel inspired by the fact that there is someone for everyone!

Also just to put this out there, I know us single pringles sometimes get that blaa feeling you know the "Nooo one lovessssssss meeeeeeeeeee waaaaaa :(" feeling. Well this really isn't the case is it?! Whilst your waiting for your future lover....because it will happen....you've got other people out there who love you to bits! :D

Okayyy im going to go now!

Ps. How beautiful does my cousin look in this photo?! Loveee them, the most amazing wedding I've ever been too <3 Hahaa
Speak soooooon :)

Life IS sweet

You can get some days in life where you feel like everything is just a bit too much, which sucks! One thing i love about life though is that if you look close enough the small things in life can really make a difference and make your day a hell of a lot better.

Festival season seems to be the time where i really reflect my life, every year since I've been going to festivals afterwards i realize that life IS sweet and there are really nice, funny and cool people in the world!

This year i went to Glastonbury...I've been dreaming about me going to Glastonbury since i was about 12 years old seeing my big cool cousins go always intrigued me and this year my dream of going finally came true.

Everything amazed me, the art everywhere was incredible from the toilet doors to the massive metal spider looking thing in Arcadia. Everyone was up for making friends, strangers loved you and you loved them just by having a little sing-a-long and dance. I tell you, i don't thing I've hugged so many strangers in my life before...it was great!

Its amazing how music can connect people, of course I'm pretty sure the booze helped people loosen up, but even the mud didn't stop us all from having a great time.

Glastonbury is known for its rain and mud, but where there is a spot of sunshine everything just becomes even more special. Watching a sun set in a festival has to be one of my favorite things to see.

Another amazing and new thing I experienced this year was being lifted up on someones shoulders. A girl half my size practically begged me to get on her shoulders because she wanted me to experience seeing what it was like up there, as much as i tried to tell her that i would probably brake her she bent down...so I went for it! I am SO happy I did, I've never seen anything like that before..there was a sea of people being lit by the stages lights, one of the best things I have experienced in my life ever!

The little things in life are actually amazing and seem much bigger and special is what I've learnt this week. Music and friends and the outside world are things that make me so happy!

Goodbye from an extremely happy Emily :)

My first Week

So when i first started university i thought it would be a great idea to start writing a diary so that in the future i could re-read everything and remember all the things that happened...but if you know me i start things and never finish them....so i only lasted about a week.

I just found the book today and have read the things i have wrote and it did make me smile so i shall share it with you :)

22nd September 2013:

yesterday i felt very nervous/scared about moving into uni, mostly about if i would make friends and if i would be able to live alone.

Once my mum, dad and grannyma left i straight away started to unpack all of my stuff, this took not as long as i was expecting so i was left with about nothing apart from my kitchen stuff to sort out. I pottered around for about 15 mins deciding weather or not to make my way into the kitchen, i did. Me and my toaster made out way and i shouted "HELLOO" as i entered. "I brought a toaster" and then i did my nervous giggle. My nerves suddenly disappeared and i made friends with a girl named Alexx and Georgia. Both seem really nice and seem to laugh at what i say which puts me at ease. Me and Alexx went out and brought some bread, apples and other food! Yummm! I seem to have a lot in common with Alexx which is nice, we decided we were going to go to the student union for the welcome party and arrived wayyyy to early which was quite funny! It soon turned really bust and one of Alexx's friends Reese joined us with his two friends Benne &Annie. To end the night me, Alexx and Georgia sat up and had a good old chin wagg.

What has really made me feel better about myself whilst being here so far is that people love the fact im all hyper and giggly! :D

So far im loving uni! :D

25th September 2013

The last time i wrote i said i made a great friend names Alexx, and just as i was getting comfortable i found out she had to leave to go Thorpe park for a couple of days.

the night before however me and Alexx made friends at the su quiz we went too, there names were Connor, jack, mark Cheyanne and holly. We all got a little drunk and made our way to there kitchen/flat and had a nose around and jack and mark had a look at ours. i really love these people and now i really want to move to lea halls as everyone's so friendly there and they all make me laugh.

When Alexx went yesterday i was a bit nervous about what to do. But i plucked up the courage and asked if i could come round and Cheyanne said yeahhh!

When i was round there Holly and Cheyanne greeted me and we sat outside in the lovely luton sunshine. i met some more people, Emily, Anna, Adam, James, Nelly, Helen, Will & BIll, leis and levi, again all really great people and the more reason for me to spend my time there.

i got quite a bit drunk yesterday so hopefully i didn't embarrass myself, I love everyone at lea halls!

Yesterday i had the best time ever i just wish Alexx was there as well!

Another thing that has become a thing is white Ace....Actually love that stuff now!

So today i have to pluck up the courage again to ask if i can come round, i hope they dont mind! But my other flatmates don't seem to like socializing with me, i even played the ukulele today to try and create some noise in the place. Also Alexx is back today wooo!

29th September 2013

So these past couple of days have again been quite eventful. Alexx came back and met everyone so we have got a massive group of people now which is really fun!

Me and Alexx, Kish, Adam, jack and connor had a sleepover in Adams & Kish's flat which was so much fun had so many laughs. Then the next day we slept over again but this time i slept in a girl named Annas floor and seemed to have let out all my worrys to her hahaaa i must have been a bit tipsy!

I have also developed the name kit-kat because i was singing the kitkat song but only knew the work kitkat. So now kish says mummble mummble mummble kitkat! Also people here think im a very happy person which is nice!

I also love this girl named Emily as well she's so crazy and funny anf i love saying our name! hahaaa

Im also loving getting to know Cheyanne and holly, there so cool to listen to and actually crack me up! I can see Cheyanne is going to be my dancing partner!

Tonight i hope to stay out for longer and get really drunk and make loadsss of friendlings!

byeeeeeeee:)

30th September 2013

I had to quickly write about how great y night was last night my most favorite part was when me, kish, cheyanne and jack and will went dancing in liquid. Everyone was looking after each other and when some dude came and touched me we all came together and danced in a massive circle! It was th ebest and i felt at that moment that i have made some great friends. Today im going to do a bit of shopping and also see if holly wants to meet up......And then im off to liquid again!

You don't actually understand how reading all of this makes me smile and laugh! Two things that crack me up the most 1. "James"??! I actually thought Kish's name was James. 2. "I can see Cheyanne being my dancing partner" Which is actually the case now! Hahaa :D Loveee this!

Happiness

Being happy is something that I like to take upon myself to achieve everyday. Call me weird, strange, childish for acting/thinking this way but its who i am.

I like to be the person that always smiles, someone who you can come too to cheer you up. I don't want to be a person that brings other people down.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not some kind of robot, I get sad now and again and I have got issues/problems that I believe we all have. I just choose to put a smile on my face no matter whats going on in my life. If I have a bad problem or am upset, I find that when I smile and laugh the problem soon leaves my brain and I just focus on life in that moment instead.

This may not be the most healthiest way to solve my problems but it just helps me see that there is good stuff happening in my life that I can focus on instead. I'm not saying that everyone should just mask there problems and issues by laughing, you should talk about them to people. Its just for me being happy, laughing at everything and smiling helps me deal with things.... and honestly I don't see this as a problem.

Thankyou for reading!

I hope you have a great day :D

I remember making this video as if it was yesterday. I remember running around the forest with powder paint, being amazed with how pigmented the colours were and how almost magical it was throwing it into the air....I just remember having such a fun time creating ideas for this video.

I want to do this more!  :)

21

Hello blogger people, hows it going?! Good I hope!

I start the blog like this all the time but....its been a while....Hahaa Never mind! I'm writing this now so its all good?!

So on Monday the 21st April Emily turned 21 years old, for me it was quite exciting.. 1 because 21 is my lucky number and 2 because well.... I turned 21! :D

The Friday night before me my brother and my mother went round my grannymas and she cooked a lovely meal and we also had a lovely slice of cake that my mums friend made... and when I say it was lovely I mean AMAZING! Hahaa

It was a really nice day, I love spending time with family. Your family are always going to be there and its lovely just to have so many giggles and banter at things that only you all really understand! I got to spend some time with the younger brother which was nice as well as we don't really see each other that much since being at uni.

I broke in my Birthday in a club called Envy with my friends Cheyanne and Kieran...I had SUCHHH a good time! Its was really nice to actually do something on my birthday because for a number of years I've just kinda sat around with the family not really doing much..maybe a meal now and again which is always lovely! But it was nice just to let loose a bit and go crazy! Hahaa Then for the actual day i spend the day with Cheyanne, Helen, Becca and Kieran and we went nandos, bowling had fun in the arcade and played resident evil...which was probably the highlight of the day just seeing how awful I was at the game had me in tears....in tears of laughter!

I got some lovely Birthday wishes as well which made me realize what great people I've met! :D

Yeah so I feel like this year being 21 is going to be a great year...I'm going to focus on my UNI course and get some work experience, I'm going to have loadssssss of fun with friends and I'm going to enjoy the times I have with my family!

Speakkkkk soonies

Help.......

Shelter- Homelessness means not having a home. Some people have no roof over their head and sleep on the street, in doorways or on night buses. But much more homelessness is hidden – on a friend's sofa or spare room, or in squats.

.

So walking through the streets of luton these past couple of months i have really noticed that there are quite alot of homeless people around. Back where i used to live in Bracknell there was literally none.

When it was a bit warmer i didn't really pay much attention, i was like OH theres a homeless person id feel bad for them, yet not give them anything that would help them out. This probably sounds really stupid, but this past week the weather has been SO cold, and its only just clicked that these homeless people must be freezing on another level. And it does make me feel so bad. I was in Mc Donald's the other day and a homeless person came up to us and said that he's just come out of hospital with pneumonia and that if we had any spare change it would be really useful, i gave him what ever was in my pocket which was about 20p....probably no use at all really.

Its kind of just made me really think, normally i feel bad for a person for a minute and then i move on and selfishly think of myself again. Ive noticed that i can be pretty selfish, i worry about myself too much when theres other people out there that probably are worrying about real, serious issues that are more important. I think i need to realise this a bit better, and actually help people that really need it.

That's my challenge i think, maybe i could buy a homeless person a coffee, or give them something that will keep them warm. Something that will be of use other than me lieing to them saying "I'm sorry"....i don't mean it, I'm just not bothering with them. I don't want to be that kind of person.

The Christmas Season is upon us..

So again not that any of my blog posts has a specific theme, I just end up rambling my thoughts and theory's to you...which hopefully you enjoy? If not maybe leave me some suggestions on what I could post about on here!

Blaa

I fear this blog post will be a very rambley, all over the place mess! So read...if you wish to read the thoughts of a 20 year old uni student girl.

Ahhh so basically I'm having a proper girly "Why doesn't he like me? Does he like me? Maybe he likes her? Do i like him? Maybe we're just friends?" day. I'm hoping allot of people get days like this occasionally otherwise i now seem like a very desperate lonely person hahaa.

See i think Ive always been a pretty awkward person when it comes to guys, back in secondary school i barley had no proper guy friends, and then i went to college and made some guy friends and now being at uni theres just so many that I'm just starting getting more comfortable with them. The only problem is.. if i start speaking to a guy and they do one nice thing or say one nice comment i begin to really like them, and for me its hard to decide weather i like them like them, or there just a good friend like them! See i told you i was an awkward person hahaa I think i just see the very best in everyone and maybe that makes me slightly confused.

Anyway i believe theres someone i like, i just don't know if they like me or not, i think he likes me as a friend but then he does things and me being a girl might just over think things...you know how us girls are! I don't know, my plan for relationships and just life in general has always been to just go with the flow and see how it works out, don't push anything or try and make things happen because if its meant to be then its meant to be.

But on the other hand theres always the "say it before its too late" thing.

Ive tried this once, kinda a funny story now but its probably why I'm too scared to do it again. I really liked this dude, and thought I'm just going to ask him out....and yep you guessed it, it did not go well hahaa The dude just didn't reply! Kinda funny, kinda sad but its fine because maybe it just wasn't meant to be......its cool, I'm over it! *wipes imaginary tear from cheek* hahaaa

Yeahhhhh this had no point to it other than...Emily likes someone and is over thinking things waaaay to much!

Hope you enjoyed! Maybe you could give me some advice?! Hahaa

UNI

Yep, yep,yep......i know! Its been a while, but I'm writing this now so alls forgiven? :)

I am here, Bedfordshrie university has a new student called Emily Field Gillard and she's loving it!
Theres so much to catch up on!
Ill start from the beginning, i was so nervous/excited/scared. My mother, father and grannyma came to drop me off and i think i kept on cracking some jokes in the car to try and keep me calm, which kinda worked. I arrived and me and my mumma went it signed all the forms, got the keys and had a sneaky look at the room before my grannyma and father. My first impression of the room was "Woah" It was pretty cool... it really did feel like the big brother house looking at it haha.
Then my family stayed for a little bit and we just had to make the goodbyes quick...i thought this was for the best otherwise i would of had them there all the time! I unpacked all my things and then plucked up the courage and walked in the kitchen with my toaster and gave a massive wave with the comment "I got us a toaster!" I thought just say anything to brake the ice and it kinda worked. I instantly made friends with two girls one named Alexx and one named Georgia. Me and Alexx thought we should do a bit of shopping and she showed me around the town as i didn't really know my way around, we also brought bread and apples together...i knew from then on she was going to be one of my good friends!
Me and Alexx then went to the student union and we made some friends with one of her friends and there flat mates so that was pretty cool. I think we pretty much went out every night for the first couple of weeks. One night we went to a quiz night and we didn't have a team so we tagged along with these people called Holly, Cheyenne, jack, Connor and mark and ever since then we've been hanging around with them. I actually love them all so much, they are all really cool and funny and i feel like Ive made some really good friends :) We also met Kish, Adam, Anna, Will, Bill, Sammy, Sam, lou-lou and Emily! Everyone is so cool! Me and Emily love the fact we've got the same name and everytime we see each other we shout EMILYYYY! :D Hahaa And also we met these two students that have been here before Helen and Nelly and they are really nice, As you can tell i just love everyone at uni!
Another thing that's happened is that me and Alexx and this girl named nichola have started a radio show, which is honestly the most coolest thing i think Ive ever done! I love it, we get to talk about what we want, we get to play what ever songs we want and its just a great little hobby that I'm loving at the moment, so tune in 97.1 every Wednesday 2-4 :D Hahaa

Its so hard to summarise everything that's happened because as you can tell its now November so three months have past. Ill have to *try* and keep this more updated, i just got excited with life and forgot i should probably write it down!
P.S, i should probably tell you about the course.....I LOVE IT! Which is a big relief as i was really unsure if i would or not!

Also here's my face! :)

An Adventure with Louisey!

Hi there!

I don't think Ive properly introduced my friend Louise Groom on my blog yet, but she has been one of my best friends for 10 years........woah, I just worked that out just now and it seems its been quite a while haha!

Anyway, me and Louise love going on little adventures, seeing new places and making videos which we put on the good old youtuberino, so these past few days we have been busy doing just that. we were in much need of a new video and so Louise (Being the smarty that she is!) suggested we make an artsy video which we have never really done before. I loved this idea, it was a chance for us to explore the forest and I was intrigued to find out where this field was which Louise had been telling me about.

The first day of shooting our video we both wore some pretty dresses and just did some basic shots of the long grass, some landscape scenery and shots of us looking lost in the forest which was quite fun I must say!

The next day Louise suggested getting up really early and riding out bikes to this pretty place she knew about. Now me being me I'm not the best at getting up at what I call silly'o'clock, but Louise is more than prepared to getting up at this time as she is a photographer and likes to get up early taking photos of the wildlife that is about. It was a challenge i must say, I haven't seen that time of the day in quite a while, however I still got up, got dressed and was there to meet Louise in enough time.

Now getting up was the least of out worries, the bikes on the other hand were another type of challenge. To put this politely, I now think bike seats are the most uncountable things I have ever sat on in my life and by the end of our little trip our little bottoms hurt.....allot!

Other than the challenge of riding the bikes, once we were at our destination it was all worth it, the pretty purple flowers, birds, horses and cows were great to see and we got some great shots of our video.

Now my next challenge is to try and get my computer to download these videos.......wish me luck!

I shall leave a link to mine and Louise's you tube channel for you to have a gander at, and once the video is edited I shall let you all know! :)

Ill see your beautiful face soon! :)

New Hair *and A smidge of Positive thinking

Ola people of the interweb, how are you today?

Me? Well today Emily (Myself) has had a bit of a change, in the form of some pink hair and a hair cut!

I have been trying to grow my hair long you see for quite a while and whilst this was going really well (and I mean the best its ever got!) I eventually decided to pluck up the courage and finally whack in a bit of bright pink in my long blond locks. Now although I personally thought it looked rather cool, I began to realise that none of my clothes really went with the punk pink look I was going for, so today I had most of the pink cut off :( Nevertheless I'm still pretty happy that I did it, its something that Ive always wanted to do and it was quite fun applying it onto my hair, I still have some pink in it, just not as out there as before! Hahaa

I know I said that I wanted to keep Saturdays a fashion girly type of blog post but I just wanted to share this with you. I feel that sometimes in my life I stop myself doing things because I'm scared of what people will say to me, but this week I just went with what I wanted to do and died my hair bright pink, I didn't worry about what other people thought, I just did what I wanted my hair to be like.

And I have to say it felt good having a little crazy moment!

Anyway I would encourage anyone to just go crazy with there hair, after all you can always cut it and it will grow! I feel like dieing your hair, experimenting with fashion is a way for expressing yourself and I felt like in my past I have been only doing things to what I thought others would think instead of what I thought, lets change this is what I'm thinking from now on!

Have a jolly good day!

Q&A Tag and a little update!

Long time no speak my blog readers!

So today this will be a rather girly blog post, Ive decided that since I do love a bit of fashion (being a typical girl! Hahaa) that every Saturday I shall be doing a girly fashiony post! I love reading and watching other peoples fashion updates on you tube and blogs so i thought that i shall give it a go as well....it looks quite fun and hopefully you'll like them!

To start this series off i found this Q&A tag which seems quite interesting so if you care to read, it shall be down below :) :

OPTIMIST

I just came across this beauty on my facebook page and thought id share it with you!

These words cracked me right up, and I feel its so true. You make a mistake, you go backwards but you end up learning from it and you get to move forwards again! I just love it, now instead of worrying about all my mistakes that Ive made i now will think of it as its all apart of the cha-cha in life.

Anyway.....after this really random post, i hope you have a lovely evening!

The BEST days EVERR!

Hello again my friends!

This blog post is about the wonders and magical events that happen in a festival, and if you worried about going to a festival or have never been then hopefully this post will persuade you that its the most amazing and funniest thing you'll be apart of EVERR!

I'm pretty new to the festival scene, Ive always been that kid who would die to go to a festival and watching my cousins go to Glastonbury every year always made me so jealous.. it looked and sounded so amazing and i have been determined ever since to experience the muddy wellys, the rubbish filled fields, the smelly toilets and most importantly the amazingly talented musicians.

Reading 2012

Last year was my first experience at Reading Festival, i went with my friend Zoe and to be quite honest it was a dream. Everything and everyone was so friendly, you would literally just make friends with people you standing next to, its like your one great big family that is only connected through the music. You dance like crazy people, sing like drunk cats and just laugh hysterically. I have always loved music, but I'm one of those annoying people that cant pick a favourite anything! As long as it has a beat or a strum and ill go for it....even if i don't have a clue what it is. I find it so interesting listening to new artists/bands live.. i think that's why i love festivals so much because you can find out this whole new world of music that you've never listened to before.

Last year the best moment for me at the festival was listening to the Foo Fighters...now before i got to reading festival i knew a couple of there most famous songs but have never really gone in depth and researched all there other music....after Reading fest i become a massive fan of the foo fighters, i loved every single song they sang and it was just plain magical...Dave grohl-now the best person ever in my eyes! (The word magical will probably keep popping up in this blog! hehe)

Also one thing i would like to say as well, when you go to these festivals with your friends its the most enjoyable thing ever. Me and my friend Zoe have sooo much fun! Honestly my best memory's from our friendship are the times at Reading festival. Just SO many funny memory's are made when you go there, so its great to go with someone who loves music as much as you do!

READING 2013..........Well this year it was some-thing-else

I Don't think Ive ever had that much fun, We literally danced like a group of monkeys.....but i loved it! You just don't care at a festival..you can dance however you like, wear what ever you like and sing from the freaking rooftops and no-one will judge you...to be honest they will most probably join in with you (from our experience anyway!) Hahaa

This year i tagged along with Zoe Venn, Young Venn (Zoe's younger Brother) and another girl named Emily! This year was AMAZING! So many amazing people i listened to.

Frank Turner=Simply incredible,
Green day=Amazing,
Spector=A Blooming Joyous event,
Eminem+Dido=Great stuff,
Imagine Dragons=Flipping Crazily good!,
Bastille=Glorious,
Foals=SO good!
White Lies=Surprisingly Great!
System of a down=Actually Loved them
Chase and Status=Danced like a crazy lady!
Alex Clare=Super Talented and freaking loved his voice!
Tribes-Loved them!
The Lumineers- They went in the crowd! They were Crazy!
Fall out boy- Sung (again) Like a loud cat!

and last but not least and the main reason why this festival was sooo special was because of us seeing
BIFFY FRICKIN CLYROOO!

You do not understand how much Ive wanted to see them live! I got my friend Zoe into them around like 4 years ago.. and for us now to of seen him live! Mannnnnn i am now complete! :D

I actually just cant explain my excitement for this festival no words are good enough, it was just the most funniest time Ive had in a while and i really needed to just let go which is what we achieved this weekend.
One of the best parts of this year - you see my and my friend Zoe well at this festival we've realised we are pretty geeky/nerdy, we listen to all these like cool, rocky, indie, pop, r'n'b kinda music yet dance like a couple of 80 year old cheesy disco dancers. So yeah that's got to be one of my favourite memory's this year just us really not caring about what we looked like and laughing like fools.

My all time most special moments of this year was definitely Biffy Clyro though! Just hearing the whole crowed sing together and seeing them look so happy at performing for us and for us knowing the words just makes me overfilled with happiness for being in that moment.

So as you can tell Ive just shed all my positive emotions with you about going to a festival...i cant even find a single negative when going to a festival! Sooo please if you ever get the chance to go take it with both hands and don't let go! Hahaa It will be one of the best experiences of your life...trust me!

I will now share you some of the photos i took

Anyway i hope you enjoyed this blog post...i sure did love writing it! As you probably can tell with all my !!!!!! and lettersssssssssss and :D's

Have a jolly good day!
